Like all dragons, the sand dragon is a master of its environment. They most often hide parts of their body beneath the sand and lie in wait after having spied their prey from above, preferring to revel in the camouflaged attack. But, they are not averse to simply swooping down on their prey from above. Sand dragons seldom hoard treasure. They prefer the open cloudless sky and the sparkle of sun on the sand over shiny trinkets. Powerful in every aspect, this type of dragon also breathes flame and is masterful in its arsenal of spells. Like many dragons, if it has the leisure, it likes to ‘play’ with its food, enjoying long conversations with its captured creatures before devouring them. Sand dragons are highly intelligent and can be reasoned with, provided you know what that particular dragon truly wants.
